Work of the General Assembly since 2000
Since 2000, the General Assembly has adopted numerous resolutions and requested the preparation of reports on various forms of violence against women. In 2006, following the launch of the Secretary-General’s in-depth study on all forms of violence against women, the General Assembly adopted resolution 61/143 on the intensification of efforts to eliminate all forms of violence against women.
