In Uzbekistan, UNODC supported the Government in the development of a draft law on the prevention of domestic violence. In Egypt, UNODC is supporting the Government to develop fair and effective procedures to deal with cases of violence against women and girls, and thus to ensure a victim-centred approach as well as a fair and just prosecution of perpetrators.

In Egypt, UNODC is supporting the Government to develop fair and effective procedures to deal with cases of violence against women and girls, and thus to ensure a victim-centred approach as well as a fair and just prosecution of perpetrators.
UNODC is coordinating the Inter-Agency Coordination Group on Trafficking in Persons (ICAT), established by the General Assembly. The first high-level ICAT meeting was organized in May 2018 in London. Briefings took place in Vienna in June and during the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime in October 2018 as well as in New York on the past, present and future of ICAT.
